Loving the new TV

I have an LG LED TV that’s over 11 years old and still going strong, putting in a good performance, however, it was time to treat ourselves to a new one, being tired of peering through the dull, dark, scenes that so many filmmakers insist on putting in the movies, trying to work out what’s going on the OLED screen is an amazing step up the colours are incredibly vivid, and the contrast is mind-blowing. Scenes feel like they are coming to life and are so easy to watch and see detail that was previously missing.
The audio quality is fantastic. The AI-sound mode creates a home theatre experience, showing just how far things have moved on, It’s so good I seriously don’t think I will bother with the planned addition of the sound bar, it’s that good but that might be different if you have a larger room. There are multiple audio modes to suit different preferences.
The design of the TV adds a touch of elegance with its thin and sleek screen and almost edge to edge picture, We used a 13mm standoff bracket which means the screen is just 53mm from the wall allowing us to display the standby screen artwork like a piece of art on the wall.
The picture quality is impeccable from a wide range of angles, making it perfect for movie nights with friends or family. The OLED's ability to produce deep blacks and bright whites simultaneously lends an unparalleled depth to the picture.
The smart features of the LG OLED TV are equally impressive, integrating seamlessly with multiple streaming services and available right from the home screen/smart remote. The interface is user friendly with quick response times and is easy to navigate, although there are hundreds of setup screens and options to work through.
The instructions could have been a little clearer or would have been easier if the screws were identified better. If I had one criticism to make and something I would like to see changed or improved it’s the power lead, which I am sure is a perfect length for 99% of installations. However, as the lead is moulded into the plug and directly into the TV it is not possible to change, In my case, the lead isn’t long enough to be suitable in its current wall mounted location and can't be swapped out so some ‘improvisation’ is going to be required to overcome this issue. Less than ideal.
Overall, this TV is definitely a worthy upgrade and I’m happy I made the jump and happy to recommend it to everyone who will listen.
